“We have been to Jost Van Dyke before but this was the first time we stayed on the island and we are so glad we did!!! This beautiful villa is located right between Great Harbor and White Bay which worked out perfect as we wanted to be in walking distance of most places we would be visiting. The view from this villa is absolutely amazing regardless of the time of day. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here and we will definitely be back!”
“WE LOVE JOST VAN DYKE! There are many reasons we love JVD and I hesitate to tell anyone they should visit as one of the things I love about it is the small island charm and don’t want that to get spoiled. It’s truly a special place where everyone we’ve met is so friendly and the folks living and working on the island treat you like family. That brings us to Karen and Nigel and their new villa. They are to be counted among those on the island who treat you like family. Their pride in their place shows and it is indeed gorgeous with a fantastic view of Great Harbor. It’s conveniently perched between White Bay and Great Harbor, so easy to get to either location to let you take in all that JVD has to offer. Karen and Nigel will answer all your questions and help take care of everything you need.
While on Jost, you should visit as many places on White Bay as you can. Of course, the day charters come into White Bay for a few hours each day for the fun, drinks, and food at all of the beach bars including the famous Soggy Dollar Bar. We like that we get to meet new people that come in for the day and enjoy just hanging out in the water having Pain Killers and talking to the different groups and when they leave, it seems like you have the island to yourself. Make sure you walk up and down the beach and try other places. Have the Lobster Quesadilla at One Love, burger at Gertrude’s, head over the goat path to Ivan’s. Also, don’t count out having dinner (or breakfast) at Soggy’s restaurant, but make sure you make a reservation. Great Harbor has quite a bit to see and do as well, with quite few establishments to visit with the most famous being Foxy’s. Make sure you duck into the lesser known places and talk to the folks there as well. You’ll have a great time. JVD Scuba can arrange for activities beyond scuba, such as kayaks, SUPs, fishing, snorkeling, day charters, etc. Nigel and Karen can advise on all this. Of course there are places beyond such as Little Harbor and Little Jost Van Dyke. Abe’s, Sidney’s, Foxy’s Taboo, B-Line Beach Bar. Catch a cab from any one of the charismatic drivers and venture out.
Back at the villa, you’ll love taking coffee in the morning on the expansive deck enjoying the sunrise as it comes up to light up Great Harbor. Inside there’s a spacious kitchen area with new appliances (the whole place is new) to whip up your meals. There are two good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as AC (if you need it).”
